What is Reiki?
Reiki is a system of healing by laying on of hands that is extremely simple but very powerful. Living beings contain and radiate an energy that is known by different names and in Japanese is called ki, this is the root of the word Reiki. It is the same energy as prana, orgone energy, ch'i, mana and others. People who have received Reiki alignments have cleared the channels through which the universal energy flows which allows them, in addition to improving their own state, to provide this healing energy to other living beings in a more powerful and effective way.
The word Reiki is composed of two Japanese kanji (ideograms): Rei and Ki. Rei means: Supernatural Force, Spiritual and Universal Intelligence. Ki means: Vital Energy. Thus, Reiki is Vital Energy and Spiritually Guided Force-UNIVERSAL LIFE ENERGY.
Who introduced Reiki?
Reiki was rediscovered at the end of the 19th century by a Japanese: Dr. Mikao Usui. The term Reiki means: Universal Life Energy. This Universal Love energy can be learned to attune and channel through your heart and hands to use it for self-treatment or for the benefit of others.
What is a Reiki session like?
Reiki is a hands-on method. Throughout a normal session, the hands are placed in certain positions, head, shoulders, stomach, feet, etc. The practitioner can also use other positions according to the specific conditions of the person. Each position is regularly held for 3 to 10 minutes and a complete Reiki session can last between 45 and 90 minutes. A single session produces an important change in people, relaxing them deeply and its benefits are multiple, benefiting both the recipient and the practitioner.
What can be done with Reiki?
Reiki is as subtle as it is powerful. It is always beneficial and works in a way that enhances the effectiveness of other therapies. It is a very powerful and useful adjunct healing therapy.
Additionally Reiki is very versatile and can be used to help improve any human condition or difficulty. In addition to helping you and others it can be used to protect you, help solve problems and achieve goals.
Self-Reiki
