How many times have you felt like you need a break from the incessant rush of modern life? How many times have you wanted to get out of the noise and into the silence, but your thoughts keep repeating things that you no longer want to hear? It is very common nowadays to find yourself tense, moody, tight and not knowing what to do to alleviate the situation. We are living a life of great tensions that require great stability from human beings to avoid falling into the much-feared stress, a common evil in our days.

The modern human being, who is a great executor, has forgotten to enter himself, he has forgotten to go to the place where his greatest strength and his source of wisdom is. Modern life seems to be made to avoid, at all times, the internal gaze. Great achievements have been achieved in the field of technology but we do not know how to go towards ourselves, towards our interior, we do not know how to look for the source that quenches our thirst and gives us the necessary balance to live better.

The great inner adventure begins with meditation. This is the gateway to the secret places of your internal world. It is the method that brings you into contact with your own source of life. When you decide to meditate, you are heading to the kingdom of light and love because only, deep in your heart, will you find the balance and happiness that you have been looking for.

Meditation has been defined in many ways. Here it is presented in an easy to understand way. We say that meditating is making your emotions and your mind silent so that you can listen to the voice of the soul, of that wonderful and divine being that you truly are. Therefore, the goal of meditation is to make contact with the soul. There is the source of wisdom and truth, there is the love that is given without asking for anything in return, there are strength, power and will. They are your treasures, the real ones, not like those made of iron and plastic, cement and glass, stones and metals; and they are composed of a very subtle substance that has the particularity of not wearing out or finishing; Nobody can steal them from you and they do not devalue.

When, through meditation, you get in touch with your soul, your life begins to change. It is as if you opened a faucet through which a very special energy flows that has the power to make all things new. Something like when you fall in love. You know how special it is to be in love. The old street is suddenly the most beautiful because it leads you to the meeting with your loved one, the sun seems to shine much brighter and the stars take on a new shine. We get inspired and surprisingly we become poets.

I think we can all agree that being in love is great. If you observe carefully you will realize that love contains the power to make all things new because, when we fall in love, we see things differently, we find beauty in everything. And even we ourselves express beauty through our eyes, gestures and face.

This same transformation occurs when, through meditation, we make contact with the soul. It is so noticeable that if you have a mirror nearby and look at yourself when you leave meditation, you will notice it. And your family and friends will also notice it because, like love, contact with the soul cannot be hidden, it is noticeable.

Why is it like this? Why the similarity? Because the soul is the source of all your love and making contact with your soul is like making contact with your other half, with what you lack to feel complete.

The Source is love and the soul is a little piece of the Source. It is your divine part. And it is also the divine part of everyone. The divine in you is the same as the divine in all other human beings. It is like a current of divine energy, of liquid light that flows in everyone. We are parts of a greater whole that we call Humanity and this fact is the real basis of human brotherhood. It’s not a sentimental reason, it’s a fact. That is why when a human being makes contact with his soul, love emerges as something natural and all beings are loved because contact is made with that current of life and love that makes us feel one with all others.

The problem with being human is that you have identified with your personality, made up of your physical body, your emotions and your mind, and you have forgotten who you really are. With meditation we recover the memory of our divine origin and we leave the memory of the animal kingdom that makes us believe in death, in lack, that makes us possessive and selfish, limits us with its sense of ownership and possession and enclosed in our small private properties when the entire universe is our heritage.

With meditation you begin to discover your true world. A world of harmony and beauty, of light and love, of strength and wisdom. A world that is yours; You just have to decide to enter and, little by little, the splendors of your soul will begin to enter your daily life.

THE RELAXATION

As a previous step to meditation, it is very important to learn to relax. Notice how tense you may be at certain times of the day. Modern life, with its incessant rush, induces us to contract excessively, for this reason, relaxing is almost as necessary as eating. In this way we can release the tensions that tend to become insidious poisons that make us sick or make us suffer.

There is a very good exercise that you can do many times a day. For a minute, let go of what you are doing, retreat to a quiet room, and lie down on the floor or bed with your arms and legs relaxed. Imagine that you immerse yourself in an ocean of light. Do not think about anything, stay submerged in the light. When you get up, you will have recharged. You can also stand in front of a window and with open arms breathe deeply, imagining that you are inhaling light and exhaling all your tensions. You repeat it several times and then, with the power of your imagination, you visualize that the light circulates through all your cells and all your organs and when you exhale you let it out to illuminate, illuminate and help the entire world.

As preparation for meditation you can do the following exercise: you lie down on the floor and tense your entire body. As if you are trying to enter the floor, for a minute, you push your body down. Then, starting with your toes, you release, part by part, your entire body, until you reach the top of your head, while imagining that a brilliant white light surrounds you and penetrates you.

CONCENTRATION

Concentration is the art of keeping your mind in the place you consciously intend for it. Developing concentration will not only help you achieve deeper meditation but will allow you to use your mind more efficiently.

It may happen that when you want to meditate you start thinking about something else completely unrelated to the topic of meditation. The technique to overcome this situation is to observe the thought that comes to your mind without resisting or fighting. If you get upset, you give it strength and you can’t get rid of it. If you just watch it, it just goes away.

If you want to develop the power of concentration in daily life, you can do the following exercises:

a.- Observe a place and then try to remember what you have seen, including all its details.

b.- When you listen to music, immerse yourself in the melody without thinking about anything else and try to distinguish the different sounds that make it up.

C.- Observe any object, it could be a candle, a flower, a tree. Every time your mind thinks about something else, lovingly turn it towards the object.

The concentration exercises are very simple. The important is the perseverance you have. If you make an effort, the fruits will more than reward your work.

BEFORE MEDITATING

1. CLEANSE YOURSELF. If you realize that when you meditate you come into contact with yourself, you will feel the natural desire to be very clean. It is highly recommended to take a good bath before meditating. But don’t end the cleansing with the physical body, also cleanse your emotions and your mind. It is easy. You can do it with the help of elements. If when you shower you bless the water and ask it to cleanse and purify your emotional body in the same way it cleanses your body, you will see that when you leave the bathroom, you will be left feeling very light. You can even, with the power of your imagination, visualize the water as if it were charged with particles of multicolored light. Then, see how your thoughts are. If you can expose yourself to a breeze, ask the wind to cleanse your mind and imagine that that wind removes all negative thoughts from you. If you can’t expose yourself to a breeze, simply imagine it and paint the breeze white light. saging can be great too.

It is very likely that, due to the pace of modern life, you will not be able to shower, either because you are going to meditate in your free time at work, on the bus, or somewhere else that is not your home. Don’t limit yourself because of it, just imagine that you are taking a shower and asking the angels to cleanse and purify you.

2. LOOK FOR THE APPROPRIATE PLACE. In your house you must have a place, even if it is very small, that you dedicate to your meditation. It will be your little corner of light. You clean it very well and ask the angels to keep that place consecrated to God. You can put plants or flowers, but make them natural. Plastic does not have the vibration of a living plant and therefore does not attract angels. This place will be filled with the etheric substance of your thoughts and feelings and thus you will create, in the invisible world, a path of easy access to the sphere of your soul. You will notice, as time goes by, that when you meditate in that place, it becomes easier for you to access your internal world. In homes, these places become a blessing for their inhabitants.

3. BREATHE COMFORTABLE. Before starting your meditation, observe your breathing. You don’t want to impose a specific rhythm, just breathe comfortably but trying to do it in a deep and natural way. Keep in mind that breathing, together with luminous ideas, provides incalculable benefits for intellectual, emotional and physical life.

4. WEAR COMFORTABLE CLOTHES. It is very difficult to meditate when your clothes are tight, so let go of everything that is tight. It is preferable to use fabric made of some natural fiber, such as cotton, linen or silk. These recommendations are simply to help you make meditation easier but they are in no way essential. You can meditate with any type of clothing. There are many who prefer to meditate dressed in white. It’s a matter of preferences.

5.LOCATE YOURSELF IN A SUITABLE POSITION. Don’t go to bed because you’ll fall asleep. The best position is sitting comfortably in a chair with your back straight and your head with your chin slightly tilted forward. If you can sit on the floor on a cushion, cross-legged, in the lotus or half-lotus position, it is highly recommended, but for most of us it is very uncomfortable. You cannot meditate if you are uncomfortable, if your knee hurts or your leg is asleep. Therefore, the key here is comfort, so that your physical body does not bother you during meditation.

6. DO NOT EAT BEFORE MEDITATING. It is more difficult to meditate when you are digesting; Therefore try to meditate before eating. And very important, do not meditate when you have consumed alcohol. It is very harmful and dangerous.

7. USE ONLY MILD AND NATURAL PERFUMES. If you like to perfume yourself, you can use essential oils, whether rose, eucalyptus, or any other soft aroma, but be careful with very strong perfumes because they can stimulate or distract you and produce results different from what you are looking for.

8. MEDITATE PREFERABLY IN THE MORNING, before sunrise. For early risers, the benefit is very great. At that time the atmosphere is less charged with currents of thoughts and prana is more abundant. Midday is also very good, but you can meditate at any time, although it is better to meditate during the day than at night.

9. BEFORE MEDITATING DO NOT HAVE SEXUAL RELATIONS. Allow at least six to eight hours to pass. Your body is not in a position to expend more energy and since meditation requires energy that you do not have available, it can cause problems.

FOUR KEYS

I – WATCH YOUR INTENTION

Intention is like the energy given to an arrow when it is shot into space. It contains desire and decision and something that will determine success, direction. This is very important in meditation because if you truly want to meditate, which is to make contact with your soul, and you give a selfish direction to the energy you put into it, you will never be completely successful. The soul is the source of all love, there is not a hint of selfishness in it. Service, giving yourself for the good of others, is your instinct, just as the desire to satisfy yourself is the instinct of personality. Therefore, when we pursue soul contact, we have to have an intention that does not contain elements of selfishness to propel us in the right direction.

If you want to meditate to feel good, surely by doing so you will achieve it, you will relax, gain strength and even enjoy good health, but you will not have made true contact with your soul, which is the one that keeps the greatest treasures for you. . Wanting to feel good is good and even a genuine desire, but it is not the correct intention you should have when meditating because it contains a bit of selfishness. But if your intention is to serve humanity, help the planet, do something so that God’s Plan is established in the world, then the direction that your energy takes, as it does not contain any selfishness, is the correct one and will help you. allow a much more direct contact with your soul and in less time.

If you keep in mind that you are part of that great whole that we call humanity, you can introduce into your activities the sense that everything you improve in yourself, improves humanity. This thought helps you achieve the correct intention, which is the dynamic energy that drives you to achieve the set goal.

There is a Tibetan wise man who defined sin as a waste of time in the process of evolution. With the right intention we save time…

This is a very important key, do not underestimate it, here lies a large part of the success of meditation. So, the first thing to keep in mind is the correct intention. Before starting to meditate you can say a prayer if you wish:

Dear Universal Source, I want to serve you through my meditation.

May my energies serve to increase the light in the world.

May my love go to relieve the needy hearts.

May everything I can achieve as a result of that meditation be for your Glory.

You can use any other sentence that contains the idea of service. Even a thought will be enough if it is done with deep meaning. There is a mantra that is very powerful because it contains a strong intention towards the divine and is used by disciples who intensely serve the Plan.

In the Center of the Will of the Source we remain.

Nothing and no one, not even ourselves, will ever be able to separate

our will from his.

We complement that will with love.

We, the divine triangle, for the love of our brothers,

in the square we serve.

The triangle represents the soul, your divine part, and the square represents your personality. This affirmation says that you commit to work as a soul in the world of men. It is very likely that it will not mean much to you at first but, as you progress in your meditation, you will see how it will take on a very great meaning and become a current of energy that will lead you to the place… where the will of God is known. .

II – MEDITATE IN GROUP

This is another of the great keys to meditation. Notice what happens. The consciousness that the soul has is a group consciousness with the capacity to access the whole of which it is a part, and the consciousness of the personality is an individual consciousness, which does not go beyond the person. This is why many people find it so difficult to meditate. They do not want to leave aside their individual consciousness and with it they want to make contact with their soul that does not have that type of consciousness. It’s a contradiction. It’s like trying to swim against the current. One gets very tired. When you meditate only thinking about yourself and the benefit you are going to obtain, you are taking a very long path with many branches. In any of them you can get lost. You can enter the emotional world of mirage and distortion, where all the images created by human emotion are, like the images you see in the cinema. The problem is that in the cinema you know that what you see is a mere projection, a movie, but when these images appear in your internal world, a product of contact with the astral or emotional plane, you become confused and believe that they are real and they are Also, as in the cinema, mere projections. You can also get lost in the thousand and one paths of the mental plane of humanity and its lucubrations, which make you believe that you are the owner and lord of the truth. If you enter those tortuous paths it does not mean that you are condemned, you simply waste a lot of time, while your soul waits for you. Group meditation is like an immense avenue of light that leads you directly to the realm of the soul, beyond emotion, beyond the mind.

It is very important that you distinguish group meditation from getting together with your friends to meditate. In group meditation you begin to become aware that you and your companions are the same thing, they are Humanity, and you merge with them, without distances or differences. Group meditation is dissolving the borders of skin, feelings and thoughts that separate us from our companions to form a new organism, the product of the union of all. It is to lose, for a moment, the consciousness of separation to dissolve ourselves in the great human fraternity.

The personality is usually afraid of group consciousness because it believes that, in it, it can get lost. Once upon a time there was a water goth who was trembling, facing the sea, because she was afraid of getting lost in the great ocean and she knew that if she stayed outside, the wind would dry her out. Fearfully she launched herself and what would be her surprise when she realized that she was the sea. This same thing happens to the individual who fears losing himself in the group consciousness; When he finally decides to embark on this great internal adventure, he expands so much, so much and so much, that he realizes that instead of losing himself, what he does is grow.

When you meditate at home, in the solitude of your favorite place, mentally unite with your companions so that you give your meditation the group dimension that helps so much to access the consciousness of your soul. You can choose a special friend, a whole group, all the disciples of the different Masters, all of humanity. As you prefer.

III – MAKE A VACUUM

The most effective way to meditate and make contact with the soul is by creating a vacuum. Releasing, with each exhalation, everything that worries us, that limits us, that imprisons us, that in some way keeps us tied to daily life. It is letting go of all attachments, both the bad and the good. It is simply staying in touch with life, without thoughts, emotions or actions.

A void is a neutral space. In our mind, the interval between two thoughts is the neutral zone that allows the entry of higher ideas that are not conditioned by everyday thinking. Because if you are repeating thoughts, the new ones don’t fit, they don’t arrive. Therefore, it is only in the empty spaces of the mind, in the intervals, that what is known by inspiration is produced.

The void, the neutral space, occurs in our daily lives when we remain in the middle of two polarities without taking sides when, being able to see the good and the bad of both sides, we place ourselves in the middle, without defense or offense. , without judgment of any kind. An energy that tends towards harmony is immediately produced because you are balancing the plates of the scale. And the magical thing is that love emerges as something natural, because love is the substance of neutral spaces.

The climax in meditation occurs when we reach emptiness. Because we enter a neutral zone of consciousness that allows us contact with our divine dimension. It’s like uniting heaven and earth. Because in the depths of matter, in its neutral spaces, is the force of the Spirit. When we reach a state of deep emptiness, we make direct contact with the divinity spread throughout creation and produce redemption in our matter and in everything that surrounds us. I remind you that redeeming is imposing a higher vibration over a lower one. In this way, we are changing the quality of matter, we are subtleting it.

If in your meditation, after letting go of your attachments, expanding and letting yourself flow freely, you visualize a rapidly spinning vortex of energy and you step into it and spin with it, you can reach the void more easily. Remember that there is always a big difference between visualizing and embodying. To reach the void, you have to become that vortex of energy, you have to embody it, feel it, live it. In any case, the fact of visualizing it is a first step, it helps you get to the second step, which is the real one.

IV – INVOKING ANGELS

Angels are the very substance of energy. They, in their infinite movement, substantiate the ethers, giving shape to the thoughts of men. All creation requires the participation of both men and angels. We can say that they are our counterpart. It is said that man thinks and angel builds. The angel evolves by loving to come to think. Man evolves thinking to come to love. The angelic kingdom, in relation to the human kingdom, is feminine, and the human kingdom in relation to the angelic kingdom is masculine.

Angels are always present in our meditation, so it is very important that you consciously work with them. You can summon them to accompany you. The angel is attracted with love and beauty. Natural flowers, a subtle aroma, music that raises the vibration, are elements that allow us to approach the angels.

It is important that you notice the difference between elementals and angels. Elementals are the spirits of nature, those units of life that are the energy behind all physical forms. They are great servants of God; They are the intelligent life of matter. But in meditation, since what we want is to unite with the soul, we do not invoke the elementals, but the angels who, having left the elemental stage, are on the evolutionary line just like us. They are directed towards the great Unity and not towards the world of multiplicity. There are great angels, just as there are great men; There are Master angels, just as there are great Masters.

When the work in meditation is done with the conscious participation of the angels, the results are always much superior. We have been told that the new human-devic stage (in the East the angels are called Devas) differs from the previous ones in the free and voluntary union of angels and men, when both, with their mutual acceptance of work, form the perfect equation. In this way they can unite so deeply that in the vortex of energy you cannot distinguish where the angel begins, where the man.

The angels are approaching humanity. This approach is being felt by everyone. We see how there is a resurgence of the angelic presence everywhere. We find books, music, statues, paintings, all kinds of objects inspired by them. If you really want to delve deeper into this topic, I recommend the most complete treatise that has been written on angels. Its author is Vicente Beltram Anglada, who wrote: The Hidden Forces of Nature, The Devic Structuring of Forms, Los Angeles in Human Social Life.
