In the autumn of life, a woman’s body changes and she must accept it. It is a highly emotional period that particularly reaches feelings linked to the fact of being still desirable and above all loved and desired.

You may take stock of your life and you may have regrets for not having done this or that, having the feeling of not having taken full advantage of life. In the first half of your life, generally called the “active period”, you are in action, you “do”, you procreate, you create, you build. It is your rational, active organizing side, also known as your masculine side, or “Yang”, that predominates. But, now, you feel diminished and you may want to follow all your domestic “chores” and social tasks instead of letting your femininity, your sweetness, your creativity that belong to the feminine side, Yin, emerge.

The hot flashes that you experience during menopause manifest an internal conflict and your feminine side is “smothered” by these symptoms that provoke your masculine side. The only effective way to make them disappear is to recover the useful, experienced and wise woman because your stubbornness to not follow the flow of life can transform into a headache or migraine. Even if you are not procreative, you need to find your spiritual direction. You need to find the Woman in you. It’s a bit like during retirement: now I have time to work with total freedom, make plans, and other challenges.

I discover a new meaning to the words “Freedom” and “Individuality”, allowing me to be reborn to a new life. My attention is now on myself and my spouse (if there is one) instead of solely on the children (in many cases) and family. I discover a new reason for living. It’s a bit like starting over, I can do things that I like and that I chose. The fear of aging can become more present and real. Even unconsciously, I can make menstruations reappear to help me return to the past and “hook” on a physical youth that has already disappeared. It is therefore important that I accept and mourn my youth to fully live the present moment. I accept the transformations that occur, both in my body and in my inner, spiritual life as well as my social and family life. I live in simplicity. I savor every moment and I have the power to create my life, thanks to all the experiences I have lived until now and which make me possess extraordinary wisdom and treasure.
